The Jordanian Armed Forces and Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation, on Tuesday signed a cooperation agreement to include the university in the list of Jordanian universities for the children of personnel and retirees in armed forces and security services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
According to the agreement, a scholarship is offered at Al Hussein Technical University for the undergraduate level in the fields of engineering and computer science.
The agreement states that students wishing to benefit from scholarships funded through the Royal makruma (benefaction) at Al Hussein Technical University must apply electronically during the month of August of each year, after ensuring that they comply with the criteria.
Under the agreement, the university will provide 20 annual grants, covering 25 per cent of the hourly fees for students who are children of military workers and retirees.
