The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) said that the deadline for submissions to the Arab Youth Hackathon, an initiative being implemented in partnership with the Arab Youth Center in the United Arab Emirates, and in cooperation with multiple Arab and international institutions, has ended.
In a statement, the foundation said that 185 projects from 16 Arab countries were submitted, adding that competitors will present their ideas before a jury during a live broadcast early next month, which will be announced at a later time.
The first edition is titled "Youth's Role in Times of Crises," which includes 6 different challenges: food and medicine security, healthcare sustainability, education, labor market, supporting local economy, and social responsibility.
Last May, the CPF and its partners had announced the launch of the hackathon with the aim of motivating Arab youth to submit innovative ideas and solutions to address the effects of the emerging COVID-19 pandemic.
