FikrTech Youth Event Concludes and Announces Implementation in Various Governorates

Amman 29 December, 2017 – FikrTech, a youth innovation and technology event organized by the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), was concluded on October 29th, 2017 at the Ras Al Ain Hangar. The event, which lasted for five days, drew hundreds of participants from all governorates around the Kingdom to participate in various free workshops and training sessions on digital fabrication and technology. The event also featured speaker sessions with over 20 influential Jordanians, Arabs, and global industry leaders.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II inaugurated the event which was a platform to showcase the various initiatives and projects by the Crown Prince Foundation and aimed to enhance youth’s skills and provide them with the opportunity to learn and excel.
Mrs. Nour Abu Ragheb, Acting CEO of CPF said that the event was a success and achieved its objectives. She announced CPF’s intention to bring the event to the north and south of the Kingdom next year. Abu Ragheb stated: “Our aim is to reorganize this event in governorates around the Kingdom to reach as many youths as possible, this would lead to exceptional first-hand experiences in a variety of different fields and industries.”
The event’s workshops, attended by a large number of youth, covered a range of important topics such as programming and amateur radio hosting, building robots controlled by Arduino, designing and launching water rockets, in addition to learning to build solar-powered mobile chargers, electric circuit welding and learning about unmanned aerial vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that CPF is working to implement His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II’s vision to guide and support youth and enhance their capacities. This aligns with the CPF’s strategy which is based on three pillars: leadership and youth excellence, skills and innovation, and social development and philanthropy.
