Hearing Without Borders is an initiative that supports children with hearing impairment so that they can be fully integrated and effective members of society. The Initiative is implemented in partnership with the Royal Medical Services and the Ministry of Health, the largest providers of medical services in the Kingdom.
The Crown Prince Foundation has a coordinating role between the partners to ensure the achievement of the desired goal and the provision of the best services possible. The partners provide cochlear devices to those in need, provide medical support by conducting pre-operative medical examinations, follow-ups after the operation, and program the external cochlear device. Furthermore, beyond working on the auditory and speech rehabilitation of children with cochlear implants, the initiative provides continued support by securing batteries and wires and working to raise community awareness of hearing impairments and the importance of early detection.
